WICK Automation Private Limited, a leading manufacturer of Automatic Truck Deflation and Inflation Systems (ATDIS) in India, is seeking a dynamic individual to join our engineering department as an Assistant Engineer. This role involves providing support to the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and Chief Design Officer (CDO) in various aspects of product development and enhancement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development or updating of new and current products, sourcing new vendors to meet Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements, preparing drawings, conducting feasibility studies, and establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the implementation and production of new products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the CTO and CDO to contribute to the development and improvement of existing products.
- Assist in identifying and evaluating potential vendors to ensure they meet BOM expectations and quality standards.
- Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for new product designs and modifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies to assess the practicality and viability of proposed product enhancements or new product concepts.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to establish SOPs for the implementation and production of new products.
- Provide technical support and assistance to other departments as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to contribute innovative ideas to the product development process.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards at all times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or engineering industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software for creating detailed drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in mechanical and electrical components.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and process improvement methodologies is a plus.
